COMPLETEPLANET: Meta-Search Engine

Greetings,

COMPLETEPLANET is a meta-search engine that claims to search over 70,000+ searchable databases and specialty search engines unaccessible or not used by other search engines.

Unfortunately, although I did a fair bit of digging on the site, I was unable to identify any of the 70,000+ searchable databases and specialty search engines. When I clicked on the link to, ” A comprehensive listing of dynamic searchable databases”, this message appeared.

On the plus side, the search results definitely seemed more scholarly and research oriented. For example, a search for information on the search term, “salmon” yielded not one cooking or sports fishing site. Instead, all the results tended to be more academic in nature and much more useful in a school setting.

The results were similar for every search term I tried. As a result, I have added COMPLETEPLANET to my list of recommended search engines.

Enjoy :-)
