FREEDIGITALPHOTOS is a free stock image and photo web site.
I’ve located another free stock photo site – yeah! This one is called FREEDIGITALPHOTOS and it offers both free and commercial photos.
For a free/commercial site, this one is pretty good. While their most popular categories are business and people pictures, there is still enough variety to attract most educators.
Unlike similar sites which offer only a small portion of their photo collection for free, FREEDIGITALPHOTOS follows a different model. Virtually all the pictures can be download at no cost but only in a small, 640 X 480 format. Larger sizes will cost. In addition, anyone using the free option must also give credit to the photographer. I don’t think either condition is a problem for most educators either.
The photo collection is divided into categories then sub-categories for easy browsing however there is also a keyword search option.
Bottom line? I like FREEDIGITALPHOTOS. The photo collection is fairly large and many of the shots are very attractive and unique. The fact that virtually all of them are available for free makes this a must bookmark site.
