TINYLETTER: Free, Email, Newsletter App

Tinyletter2Greetings,

TINYLETTER is free online service for creating and sending attractive newletters via email

Email still has a lot going for it as a communications method. It’s simple and ubiquitious. Everyone understands how it works and everyone has an account. Unfortunately, email messages tend to be pain text, for the most part – bland and boring. One simple way to fix that is with todays app – TINYLETTER.

TINYLETTER is an online service that allows the user to create beautiful, web page like newsletters which can be sent to a large group of people by email – for free.

The text editor used to write/create the content looks very much like the editor find in most blogs and wikis so there should be little in the way of a learning curve. It allows the user to employ a wide variety text fonts, colours and sizes plus add pictures, images and links. As a result, creating beautiful content is limited only by the creator’s imagination.

Once the newsletter is created, it can be sent to a limitless number of people, assuming someone has entered or uploaded a limitless number of email addresses (TINYLETTER does impose a 25 email address per day upload limit but there are no limits on the number who can receive the newsletter).

To make things even easier, TINYLETTER also provides a sign-up link for users who want to subscribe themselves (click here to subscribe to my DETools Newsletter).

TINYLETTER even provides a way for publishers to charge for their newsletter and receive payment through PayPal (A possible way for schools to raise money?)

Bottom line? I really like TINYLETTER. It’s easy to use but has lots of features and functionality. For sending home an email newsletters to parents, I couldn’t think of a better choice.

TINYLETTER is free to use but does require a sign-up for access.
