ITV WILD is a web site featuring numerous out-door and nature film clips.
ITV is perhaps best know as the creators of “Coronation Street” but it does produce several other television series, such as “Survival”, “Lion Country” and “Granada Wild”. Many of the best segments from these series have been made available on the web through today’s web site – ITV WILD.
The site contains a mix of short clips, all the way up to full length show segments. Many of the clips are accompanied by supporting information and links to other resources. Users can also watch live episodes online.
In addition to video content, the site also features quizzes, competitions and likes to wildlife protection agencies.
User can also search for information on a particular topic using the keyword search feature. Unfortunately, there is no subject index to make browsing easier. Instead, various titles are listed on the site home page based on popular searches or recommendations from users.
Bottom line? I like ITV WILD. It’s different from North American sites like National Geographic plus it’s not simply a repackaging of YouTube content. Despite not have a subject index or table of content, the site is easy to use and does have a reasonable amount of content.
