SWITCHR is a free, online file conversion tool for audio files.

Back to DE Tools basics with a free online app for converting audio files from file format to another called SWITCHR. It will convert WAV, MP3, ACC, OGG and much more.

Using SWITCHR is easy. Access the site’s home page. Upload a music file to be converted from the computer’s desktop. Choose the audio output format and supply an email address. That’s it.

When the conversion is complete, a notice appears on the web page alerting the user that the conversion process has been successful however, it’s not until a confirmation email message is received containing a download link that the converted audio file can be downloaded back to the computer desktop. Thankfully the whole process takes just a few minutes to complete.

Bottom Line. I like SWITCHR. It’s fast, easy to use and has a few nice extras not found on other conversion programs such as the ability to create iPhone ring tones. The only drawback I could find was the inability to handle more then one file at a time. Otherwise, SWITCHR is a sweet little tool and a welcome addition to the DE Toolbox.
