TODAYSMEET is a free web app that creates a temporary chat room.
Chat rooms have for the most part, gone the way of the dinosaur but in certain situations, they still have a place, as today’s app – TODAYSMEET – demonstrates.
TODAYSMEET provides a temporary chat room for two or more uses to collaborate.
Creating a chat room involves going to the TODAYSMEET site, giving, the new room a name, a time period that it will remain active and a Twitter hashtag. That’s it.
There is no sign-up required – of anyone. The chat room creator will invite others to take part by sending them the chat room URL. There is no username, password or other security required which could be a good thing, or not, depending on the room’s use.
The Twitter hashtag is optional. When supplied, all Twitter posts sent to the tag will be pulled into the chat room. Unfortunately, I was not able to get that feature to work.

Bottom line? TODAYSMEET has a couple of great features like no sign-up and ease of use to recommend it and make it a worthwhile addition to the tool kit.
