WHATTOLEARN is a free, web based educational games creation and management service.
This is a great site for teachers who want to incorporate educational games into their curriculum. The games are easy to create and simple to use and the site also offers management and stats options to monitor student progress.
To begin, teachers need to obtain a free teacher account. This allows them to create games and track student progress when they are using those games.
Game creation is easy and there are several game “engines” or types to choose from such as “Clownfish Chase”, “Space Monkeys” and “3D Quiz Mase”.
Each game has a particular feature such as a multiple choice option, fill in the blanks, true/false or word scramble. For example, here’s a word scramble game I created about educational blogs.

In addition to creating their own games, teachers can also use games created by other teachers if those games have been made sharable. Teachers can also track their student’s progress through the game.
While the site does take a bit of getting used to, it does have a lot to offer.
