CREATELY is described as an online diagraming tool that can be used to make, among other things, drawings, mind maps and flow charts.
This has to be one of the slickest, feature packed online apps I’ve encountered is some time. It’s features, functions and options rival the best commercial software packages around. Think of it as a mind mapping program on steroids.
CREATELY is called a “diagraming application” and can create all manner of diagrams such as mind maps, organizational charts, flow charts, network diagrams, time lines, etc. – any type of drawing where objects need to be linked together. Naturally the objects or shapes can be labelled, coloured, moved, tilted, rotated and maniputed in dozens of ways.
CREATELY also provides extensive librarys of predrawn shapes and objects which make the creation of a mind map, flow chart or time line a snap. As well, users can upload their own images or graphic items.
In addition, CREATELY also provides predrawn templates with the shapes and objects already connected. These templates can also be edited and changed. There is even a variety of templates for k-12 realted applications a cluster or word web, cycle diagram and compare/contrast diagram.
Once created, the diagram can be saved on CREATELY’s web site and others (up to 5 on the free version) can be invited by e-mail to comment or make changes to the drawing. The final product can be saved and displayed on CREATELY’s web site. Each free account is given 10 megabytes of storage. Diagrams can private or open to the web. In addition, the diagram can downloaded to a desktop pc. The downloaded diagrams will contain a CREATELY water mark – which is one reason to upgrade to the paid version.
