SHARENDIPTY is a free, online, interactive game creation program for non-programers.
SHARENDIPTY provides a new slant for online game making. Most other programs provide the user with a “blank slate” when creating a game and it’s up to the user to figure out what to do. SHARENDIPTY will do that to but it also provides several prebuilt games or “game templates” as SHARENDIPTY describes them. Some like “Frenzy” and “Floater” are actual games. Others such as “Match”, “Scramble” and “Puzzle Popper” are hybrids of matching and word games and are easily adaptable to educational use.
Here’s an example of a matching game created by an elementary student.
As you can see, this is not exactly “Grand Theft, Auto” but it beats a paper worksheet.
If none of the templates are suitable, users can start from scratch with a blank slate and build their own game.
Completed games can be saved on SHARENDIPTY’s server or linked to a web page.
An account is required to create games but not to play them.
