SCREENJELLY: Free Web Based Screen Capture Service

Greetings,

SCREENJELLY is a free, web based screen capture program with Tweet and other social media integration.

SCREENJELLY is another, easy to use video capture program. In fact it is easier to use the SCREENR. Simply go to the SCREENJELLY web site and click the record button. SCREENJELLY will record whatever is on you main or primary computer screen. There are no options to record just a specific area or window. If a microphone is available then an audio track can also be recorded too.

Recordings can be 3 minutes long, maximum.

Once created, video clips are stored on the SCREENJELLY web site and can be made public or kept private. Private doesn’t really mean private as in the videos are password protected. Instead it means that only those who know the URL can access the video. Typically, that URL is contained in an e-mail message, twitter post, Facebook page or web site.

Unlike SCREENR, SCREENJELLY does require an account but Twitter users can us their Twitter account to log in.

For quick, simple, short, desktop screen captures, SCREENJELLY is a great solution.

Enjoy :-)

If I may, I’d correct one sentence to say: “Unlike SCREENR, SCREENJELLY doesn’t require a Twitter account but Twitter users can still use their Twitter account to log in” ;-)

We don’t require an account more than Screenr does: if you have a Twitter account, you can just use this one. But if you don’t want to, in that case, you have the ability to create a “regular” email/password account.

    Thanks for the review!

    Thanks for the comment, Tim.

I am puzzled by one thing. If an account is not required, why is there a “Sign up/Sign In” link on the site?

    Thanks again.
