SCREENTOASTER: Free, Easy To Use, Web Based Screen Capture Program

Greetings,

SCREENTOASTER is a free and easy to use web based screen capture program.

This app was first mentioned on Jane Hart’s blog, a few weeks back. I tried it then and didn’t like it. SCREENTOASTER was still in beta and still very flakey. I gave it a pass.

What a difference a month makes. SCREENTOASTER is out of beta and much more robust. It other words, it works.

SCREENTOASTER makes it very easy to capture what’s happening on a computer desk top. Simple click the record button then wait for a 5 second count down. SCREENTOASTER will record all or part of a screen. The screen captures can be done with or without sound. There’s also a handy feature to also record from a web cam and have that displayed in a small window at the bottom of the screen capture screen.

Here a short seven second clip I made.

When completed, screencasts can be stored online on SCREENTOASTER’s site. SCREENTOASTER is also experimenting with AVI downloads which can be done but without audio tracks.

All in all, SCREENTOASTER is a very simple and easy to use screen cast utility which is free to use by does require a sign-up.
